“Issa and Deniese were the first to believe in what I was doing and give me a shot. I shot So Jaded with ColorCreative back in 2014. Saying we had a blast, might be under-selling it. I could not have picked a more supportive and fun team to work and discover my voice with. Working with ColorCreative has opened so many doors. I’ve now written for three TV shows. My most recent work can be seen on Apple’s new adult comedy Central Park, streaming in 2020.”

From casting to world premieres, it was an exciting experience, and I look forward to working with them in the future.”

I got involved with ColorCreative in 2017 when Issa and Deniese announced the FreshWave competition designed to help writers from underrepresented communities jumpstart a career in the industry. I entered on a whim and ended up placing second in the competition – from over 1500 submissions and several rounds of elimination – all while receiving authentic mentorship from creators I’ve looked up to ever since I was a teenager.
